Unit 12 covers the productive skills, speaking and writing. Both carry equal importance when learning a new language but writing is often ignored. The unit also highlights the differences between fluency and accuracy activities (for speaking), and gives examples of lessons and class activities for each. For writing, the unit explains the different factors, such as handwriting, punctuation, and grammar, that play a role in writing. It also provides an example of a lesson plan and some activities to help learners to improve their writing while learning English. The unit ends of with some examples of fun games to play in the classroom.
