This was the most confusing unit so far. I admit that I have taken for granted the present tenses. It must be very difficult for someone learning the correct phrase to use. That being said I learned that present perfect relates the past to the present, for relates to periods of time and since relates to points of time. Irregular past participles must be learnt from memory like be and been, have and had. It seems to be easier to explain with activities like telling stories or narrating and actions in progress or miming when teaching present continuous. A day in the life of activity is my favorite when explaining present simple.
