In this unit I learnt that you get two main types of verbs:transitive and intransitive verbs and the difference between them. I also recieved a clear explanation of what infinitives are which I always used to confused in the past. I also got a clear understanding on the use of auxillary verbs. This unit also helped brush up on my knowledge of adverbs. I also never knew what a gerund was and this unit allowed me to see the function and where it is found within the sentence. This unit has generally helped me in all aspects as it has brushed up on my knowledge and given me a clear view and understanding of the basics of parts of speech.
