This unit is about course development and while going through this unit I have gained a better perspective of the developmental process for course and syllabus design. The unit contains good samples of a needs analysis and syllabus design and all the parts can be seen in clear context. I have also learned about the type of tests available (Diagnostic, Placement, Aptitude, Achievement, Proficiency and Progress tests). It is important that some regular form of testing or assessment of learning takes place because this will allow the teacher to measure the efficacy of the program and it will allow the students to monitor their progress.
