In the first lesson, I noticed straight away that the teacher's unhappy face and attitude was making students nervous. I also realized how he shouldn't have started by talking about \"modal auxiliary verbs\" and expecting students to answer. I learned that students were intimidated by a teacher who would reject their wrong answers and not encourage them. However, in the second lesson, the teacher was very welcoming and corrected students' mistakes without making them feel bad. Most importantly, I saw how students felt comfortable enough not only to answer the teacher, but also to even laugh with him when he made a joke or comment.
