Unit 15 talks about what tests are used to measure progression, and a student's ability to speak, read, write, and listen/comprehend in English. I like how this unit focused on identifying the different types of tests (placement, progressive, diagnostic, external, and practice), along with what they are used for, and what they measure. Before I studied this unit, I didn't know about Cambridge English exams and certificates, and how they are some of the most recognized tests and certificates worldwide. Testing is important in teaching English to help the teacher know the progress of their students, and how best to address their needs.
