This unit runs through the Past Tenses. They are quite similar to the Present Tenses, and the unit has gone through how to distinguish each of the 4 past tenses. Past Simple - describes something that happened in the definite past I sold my dog. Past Continuous - describes something that was happening from the perspective of the past I was selling my dog. Past Perfect - describes something that had already happened from the perspective of the past It was a tough day; I had sold my dog. Past Perfect Continuous - describes something that had been happening until the perspective of the past It was a tough day, I had been selling my dog.
