Teach English in Zhongxinzhan Jiedao - Shuangyashan Shi
The section on the needs analysis was of particular use and interest. I see how asking a certain set of basic questions to the learner before starting lessons can very quickly narrow down their needs and wants and will allow me to be better prepared to teach. One thing I have learned from this section is the importance of properly segmenting tasks. For example, a needs analysis does not need to double up as a language level test. Course evaluations do not need to assess student progress. Each of these tasks can and should be kept separate for the best results. This section also gave me a good mental review of the ESA teaching method.
