It is refreshing to recall the rules when using some of the parts of the speech. In daily conversation, there are times we don?t conscientiously follow the right sequence. For example, I have always thought that adverbs are constantly placed after a verb. I learned in this chapter that it?s different with transitive and intransitive verbs. One more thing is about adjectives in its comparative and superlative forms. The timing was right when I read this chapter the other day and my Japanese student asked me the next day how one determines which adjective will use ?er/-est or more/most. I was able to explain it in detail.
