I had never considered breaking down language into 4 different basic skills before but after reading through this lesson, it makes sense to take note when building out your lesson to ensure you provide a good balance between the four to ensure the student is getting full exposure. The focus of this lesson was around the receptive skills, which are listening and reading. When building drills, we should try to utilize different styles of how we can read and listen such as skimming, scanning, deduction from context, and so on so they are exposed. We also need to cater to students levels and interest so they take the lesson more to heart.
