In this unit, I have learned about the past tense, different forms of past tense and its usage. The different forms include past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous forms. Past simple tense is usually used for a completed past action. The past continuous tense is oftentimes used for an action in progress at a past time. On the other hand, the past perfect tense is used for an action completed before another past action and lastly, the past perfect continuous is used to talk about longer actions or situations in the past that had been going on continuously up to the past moment that we are thinking about.
