The structure of the lesson depends on the final aim of the lesson. As mentioned in a previous unit, the kind of structure (straight arrow, boomerang, patchwork) that the lesson takes will probably depend on the class type, and how straightforward or complicated the objective of the lesson is. The choice of material to cover also has to factor in things like similarity to the student's native language, how \"common\" the use of the target vocabulary / grammar structure is, and the activities selected during the \"activate\" segment will have to take these into consideration too, for them to be effective and authentic for the students.
