This unit presented two topics, conditionals and reported speech. The first topic, conditionals, express past, present, and future possibilities. There are five conditionals and to form them you need two clauses, the clause where the hypothetical situation is presented and the main clause where the consequence is stated. The order of the clauses does not matter. As for the second topic, reported speech, it is when you restate what someone has said to a third person. In doing so, pronouns, verb tenses, and time expressions need to be changed. Therefore this is a very difficult topic for students to learn and the teacher must go slowly.
