This unit gives a in-depth look at the advantages and disadvantages of different classroom arrangements that can be used. It also gives extremely helpful advice upon how appropriate gestures, eye contact and voice can be used effectively in the classroom. I was particularly interested in the section on establishing a rapport with the students, problem behaviour and discipline. I have, in the course of the last term in my classes, had to move two students. One was a student failing to get on with another. The second was a pair who misbehaved due to a close friendship. I'm pleased my instinct was validated by the information in the unit.
