Overview: This unit covered the various roles that an effective teacher must adopt when appropriate in the class, what factors can affect the progress that learners might see during the duration of the course, and the various levels of language learners and how those levels impact the learners' experiences in class. Discussing the various roles in depth benefited me personally in that it made me see the importance of fluidity in role-switching (being comfortable switching from one role to another when needed) in the classroom more clearly, and I hope that this will make me a more effective teacher and inspire confidence in my students.
