Unit # 5 discusses various teaching themes, to include case studies, frame-working, problem-based learning, the use of games, computer-aided language learning, and the Speech Act Theory. For example, the use of case studies consists of introducing the topic and giving feedback, pre-teaching the vocabulary and terminology associated with the case study, setting up the mechanics, e.g., organizing the students into small groups and assigning roles to the group members and the teacher who demonstrates how the process of the activity is executed, coupled with giving the students a framework to use followed by providing feedback and praise.
