This unit covered the basic rules of English grammar, paying particular attention to the most common parts of speech, such as nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, prepositions, etc. Despite using these rules on a daily basis when speaking and writing, I had not formally learned certain grammar rules before and found this unit to be especially helpful in identifying the ways in which English phrases are constructed. I found the sections covering adverbs, prepositions/conjunctions, and verbs to be particularly helpful, as there were some rules I had not been aware of before. After reading through this unit, I believe that I have a much firmer grasp on English grammar as a whole.
