The contents in unit 4 deals with the introduction into the ?tense system?, specifically the Present Tenses. After reviewing this section I can see why it might leave the individual who is new to English Language feeling a little tense as in uncomfortable. The syntax, though straight forward to the native English speaker is different that in a language such as French or Spanish. The importance of this information is that it helps in the L2 Speaker to better express actions occurring over and throughout time. I believe that careful explanation and comparison of the characteristics of each tense as well lots of drills and practice will be a benefit to the students.
