This unit mainly focused on past tenses. The unit covered the four types of past tenses which are past simple, past continuous, past perfect and past perfect continuous. I learnt how to differentiate the tenses , for example the difference between past perfect and past perfect continuous. I learnt that the past perfect tense is formed by adding 'had' and the past perfect continuous primarily makes use of the two auxiliary verbs \"had + been\". One would note that teachers and students usually confuse the two tenses, hence learning about these tenses has helped me gain more knowledge about the correct use of tenses. This knowledge will help me become a better English teacher.
