This unit discussed different testing strategies for evaluating students. I learned that the three main types of tests are placement, progress and achievement tests. This unit also discussed the time and frequency each test is most likely given to students. Some are given to students tests less frequently. For example, diagnostic tests are given to students at the start of a course to gauge what the students know and don't know to better plan future lesson focus. Other tests are given more frequently depending on the progress of the students. For example, progress tests can be given each week, month or term to determine how the students are performing after completed lessons.
