This unit gave a detailed explanation on how and when to use tenses with various examples and I have learnt new ways to use tenses and more importantly, I have learnt ways to explain the usage of tenses to students. The unit also gave different ideas to use in lessons and I also got plenty of other ideas to try with students. The tense system is very difficult for many English learners because of the different verb forms. Especially irregular verbs and their forms can be hard to remember as seen in some of the examples of typical errors students make. Those examples presented in this unit are really helpful to predict the possible mistakes my future students make with tenses.
