This Unit discussed and went into depth outlining the four past tenses of the English Language. The Past Simple, the Past Perfect, The Past Continuous and the Past Perfect Continuous was each described. The general outline for how to construct each form as well as the usages for which the forms are used were also described. The verb tenses were generally outlined and exceptions were discussed with common English verbs. After each Tense was taught, there were tips for commonly made errors and mistakes to look out for with students as well as generally appropriate activities that could have been used in the activate stages of a lesson to help reinforce correct usage of the tense.
