In this unit, we learned about authentic materials and non-authentic materials. These are the types of materials available for us to use. Authentic materials are those materials that have been made for purposes not intended for classroom use. On the other hand, non-authentic materials are those materials that are purposely designed for classroom use. Next, we learned how to create our own materials or how we could adapt available resources to our needs. We also considered the factors that are to be considered when we create our own materials. Lesson planning is also included in this unit. We learned the importance of a lesson plan and how we could be able to effectively use it.
