This unit reviews the different kinds of learners that we will come across and explains some important difference amongst them. Young learneers are more easily bored and need to be given a variety of activities that flow together well. This will disrupt behavioural problems. Adult learners can handle more and may have specialized english requirements for their job. One important thing I learned in this chapter is to restrict the amount of speaking in the native tongue of the learners. I always used it as a tool to make them feel more comfortable if they were really struggling to understand something but this can lead to them expecting to get the answer if they wait long enough.
