The unit was about methodologies, in particular the ESA methodology, feedback, mistakes, and exercises which can be used in a lesson. I learnt that there are numerous methodologies, and many of them can work together. The methodologies often have common traits such as praising, fostering student speaking time etc. I learnt that when teaching, you should vary your methodology in order to make things more interesting for both the students and yourself. The Engage, Study and Activate methodology is a very basic structure, and I learnt many activities through the unit. Although it has many positive attributes, the unit didn?t cover many of the weak points of the methodology.
