In this unit, I've learned the different ways to evaluate students' levels and progress. The first is placement tests. These tests can place students into the right class based on their language ability. The second is progress tests. These tests are used to know student's achievement and what they have been forgotten. The third is diagnostic tests. These tests are given at the very beginning of the course, so the teacher can see what the students already know. Therefore, the teacher can prepare the lesson plan according to students' weak language points. The last but least is the practice tests. These external tests measure student's comprehensive knowledge of English language.
