In this unit, I learned about the past tenses and their usages. I found it challenging to understand some of the usages, for example completed or continuous past actions which occur before the past moment which is the focus of the sentence. It was useful to familiarise myself with the past tense forms and usages, and I believe that I will refer to this unit frequently in the future to solidify my understanding of this material. Moreover, I enjoyed reading the ideas for 'activate' activities to teach different types of past tense. This made it easier for me to see examples of how each tense should be used, and also to gain ideas for how to approach teaching such a complex topic.
