Teach English in Lianghe XiAng - Shijiazhuang Shi
If you've understood the basic concept of the different forms of present tense, past tense is not that difficult to understand as well. The most tricky ones are probably past perfect and past perfect continuous. I wasn't completely aware, that past perfect stresses completed actions, while past perfect continuous indicates only, that an action was starting prior to another actions and lasted up to that point (or even continued). There is definitely a difference in the use of past perfect to present perfect and that's good to keep in mind. Not that I would have used the past perfect differently I guess, but it's good to have the \"feeling\" backed up with solid grammar knowledge.
