Unit 12 highlighted the 2 productive skills students must learn to communicate: Speaking and Writing. Accuracy and Fluency activities were equally important aspects of learning to orally communicate and how to manage instructing activities to encourage these skills were suggested. Learning to write the language is also important in communication. Exposing students to a variety of writing will help with spelling, grammar, vocabulary usage, punctuation, spelling and help with determining if something should be written informally or formally. Creative use of games were encouraged (along with some examples) to be used in the classroom to assist with engaging language learning goals.
