I thought it was very interesting to see English being taught to foreign speakers. I did find that I had a question as far as diction is concerned. I wondered why this is not emphasized. I realize that some countries do not have certain consonants and sounds, however, these are important to convey the meaning of some words in English. I also believe that learning the phonetics of English before trying to speak it is very important. I believe this because I have traveled to many other countries where my language skills did not help me because my pronunciation was so poor. It then made no difference whether or not I had the vocabulary because my meanings were lost on the audience.
