This unit gave an introduction to English grammar. I found this unit challenging because as I was going through it I realized how little technical knowledge I had of English grammar. As a native English speaker I naively went into this unit thinking that I had a full grasp on sentence structure and the grammatical system, only to learn that I speak and write in English more out of second nature, rather than from a true understanding of the parts of speech that we use. But as challenging as this unit was, it was also very helpful and beneficial. Even now as I write these sentences I am looking at the words and thinking, ?preposition?, ?auxiliary verb?, etc.
