Unit 9 focused on lesson plans. The main thing I learned from this unit was that a lesson plan can function in numerous ways: as an aid to planning, a working document, and a record. Furthermore, lesson plans allow for flexibility and adaptation while providing a structured framework for the class. Teachers have different approaches when it comes to lesson plans. Experienced teachers may write only a few notes, while inexperienced teachers may incorporate more structure and notes into their lessons. Consideration and inclusion of learner objectives and timing in the lesson plans will be particularly helpful for me as I think about daily activities and the trajectory of the class.
