My daughter is a college-level senior studying speech and communication disorders. This unit would have been easy for her, but not for me! However, it was so interesting! Many of my students have difficulty pronouncing words. In order to make it easier, as per the context of my science lesson, I ask them to say a four or five word sentence in their language and I try to repeat it. Often I am unable to so. We all laugh. Then, we try the same in English. We all laugh again, and then practice. Having me struggle and live through it seems to make it easier. We practice tongue placement, etc. It is quite fun. You have given me tools and explanations - and, ideas! thank you.
