Teaching aids and equipment in the classroom are items which assist in teaching the lesson. Students and teachers find these items to be very important as they help communicate the ideas and content that speaking alone cannot always transmute. Visual aids are one of the most important items to be found in a classroom because they attract the attention and interest of students. Given that there are many different types of learners, visual aids often correspond to every kind of learner, because they can connect the image seen with the word or meaning that is being taught. Material from CDs and DVDs are also very important teaching aids because they allow students to practice their listening skills. The teacher needs to plan ahead to ensure the platform from which they will play the devices are working properly, to save time and to have a well prepared lesson. DVDs are useful because the students are able to focus on the screen and make a connection between what they are seeing and hearing and the lesson material. Online sources are great resources for adult learners, in my opinion, because if they are motivated, then they will seek out more information at home with the links provided by the professor. Worksheets are always necessary as they give students a way to practice what is being taught in class and they can complete the sheets at home or during class, if the teacher permits. The board is the final most important aid in a classroom, because the teacher will always needs to write down words and phrases to guide his/her students.
