In the first lesson the students were not very responsive because the instructor was not friendly. He spoke too fast and did not provide clear instructions so the students couldn't respond because they did not understand what they were being asked. He rushed the students thereby not giving them enough time to respond to questions and appeared annoyed the whole way through. Some of the things he did wrong include writing on the board without explaining what he was doing or what the class was about to do. Thus, the class was unenthusiastic. There was barely an STT and when the instructor was asked a question that would took some explaining he just insisted that it was not important and disregarded the student's inquiry. Another thing he did wrong was provide the answers without letting the students respond, thus, not properly going over the activities and worksheets. In lesson two the instructor did much better. Not only was he more friendly but the class was more organized and the instructions given were clear. He introduced himself at the beginning of the course and proceeded to learn the students name. His smile radiated worth and he gave the students plenty of opportunity to talk and ask questions. Furthermore, when they ask him to clarify something he did not hesitate or avoid the question. He started out with an engage stage and then study and activate and a few more study worksheets and finally ended with a creative activity stage. At the end of the lesson the student appeared to have learned how to properly use the modal auxiliary verb can and can't.
