What I learnt from Unit 9 is about the steps of planning a lesson. It is very important for the teacher to have a lesson planning, because it will help to expect from the students to achieve by the end of the lesson, to keep on target during the lesson and acts as a record of what a class has done . There is no special way in which a plan must be written. It will all depend on the individual. Some teacher just write notes while other prepare for formal lesson plan. As long as the lesson goes on, I believe teacher should: keep it simple, flexible, structure it and make sure the activity goes smooth. In this unit also gives an advice what should be included in a lesson plan. In term of the leaner objective, it give an outcome to the student what they can achieved by the end of the lesson. Second is the personal aims is an area which teacher need to improve of the teaching methodology. Next is the language point that show the connection between past and future lessons (in term of how use grammar, vocabulary between the unit) . Teaching aids is also important for teacher to prepare everything before the start of the lesson and to lessen the problem that might arise during the lesson. For example; sound system or Over Head Projector are working perfectly. During the phase of the activity, teacher should give time allowance for Teacher Talk time or Student talk time or interaction between teacher and student. In the end of the lesson, It is very important for the teacher to keep a record or note of what class activity had been done and monitor the progress. Because it will improve our skills and give personal feedback about the quality of our self.
