Although I have always planned my lesson in an informal way, taking down notes of the topic, preparing exercises, oral activities, etc. I found ESA really useful. It?s a real great guideline, to organize lessons. I have already started using it in my class, and I have had wonderful results. My students are more motivated than before. As I love grammar, I enjoyed reviewing tenses and found all the worksheets challenging. When dealing with the future ?going to?- ?will? or present continuous with future intention, the unit gave me great information and made me also look for more information in other grammar books so as to have my concepts clearer and make sentences were the difference in usage was very clear for students to understand. I always considered that examples had to be simple and clear so as for students to understand, then little by little we can add more complex sentences. I have enjoyed all the units, although there were ones that were more interesting than others. Reading about the teachers? different roles was very interesting and I loved the video, it shows what things we must never do, if we consider teaching merely a job, I think that I?d better choose another activity. I loved the idea of teacher?s smiling and constantly encouraging students, it?s not easy but if we love english, as in my case, I want to transmite it to my students. I, again, thank you Karl for you help and comments on my worksheets. They have helped me to have a wider view on different topics. I?m a person who appreciates when someone corrects me, I think it?s the best way to learn. Unit 5 ?Managing classes- was extremely useful and I enjoyed reading and studying it, I?m also taking into account eye contact, gestures, changes in the range of my voice(especially with kids) and classroom arrangement. Although this year I have a small group, four girls which I?m preparing to take a final exam in an Institute, next year I?ll be working in an Institute, so I?ll use all the information I have obtained. I have highly enjoyed my course and have learnt a lot of useful information. Of course, I?ll recommend it in the future and hope to be able to take another course in the future!
