Studying this unit I've learnt the different approaches a teacher should apply to his or her role depending on what is required during class. I have read about how I would need to be able to encourage, motivate, help, observe, explain and be a model to my students over all and to also be able to adjust my teaching skills according to what is needed in a specific moment of the class. The unit also discusses learners and their characteristics. It explains the differences between age groups, motivations, life experiences and so on, giving an insight of what to expect when teaching to a wide range of students. Last but not least the unit also shows a list of language levels and it indicates what to expect from each pupil that fits in one of the categories.
