this reading and listening unit taught me that English speakers generally skim often when reading as it is second nature to us. our students most often don't have that luxury,selection of text will be important, as will discussion and teaching of difficult or unknown language structures, prior to commencement. Regards RobThis is one of the more difficult lessons. The phrasal verbs, while they make sense, are something I've never thought about or even heard of. This is definitely a part of English that should only be taught to the advanced English students. Another piece that doesn't come up often is using passive voice in multiple tenses.
