This unit focused on different methodologies and approaches to teaching English. I liked how the ESA model was described and demonstrated with many practical examples of the engage, study, and activate stages. Before this unit, I was unsure about how to structure a lesson, but the ESA model really helped me understand the importance of each stage. An engage activity at the start of the lesson will help students be warmed up in English, a study activity will assist in reinforcing the rules of the language through practice, and an activate activity at the end will allow students to become fluent in all they have learned up to this point.
