This chapter covered evaluating and testing. The importance of evaluating and testing is to help the teacher know how much each student understands English so that the student will get the best teaching possible. It also helps the teacher to understand how each student is progressing in understanding the English language and where there are weaknesses and strengths. Where the weaknesses are, the teacher may want to tutor the student in order to help in the weak areas to get better. Evaluations by the students help the teacher to understand how to improve the course so that future students may benefit and get the best teaching possible.
