I felt that this unit accurately put into words what the qualities of a good student and good teacher are. As I continue on a path toward teaching, I often find myself wondering, \"what makes a good teacher?\" I wonder if I will be able to recognize when I am exhibiting traits of a good teacher, and when I could strive further. This lesson helped me frame the qualities needed to be an effective instructor. What was particularly helpful to me was the descriptions of the various roles a teacher needs to play. There is so much that goes into teaching that it is nice to be able to break down some of the work into easily identifiable roles.
