This chapter taught me how to think about how I should manage a classroom. This extends beyond managing my students? behaviors, but also how I can re-arrange the classroom, re-think how I should talk to my students depending on what I hope to get out of the time that I am spending with them. I learnt that standing and sitting are appropriate during different times of the class, and that seating arrangements can influence how students interact with each other and me. Most importantly, I was exposed to some techniques that can help me become a supportive, approachable, but firm teacher who can be a good manager as well as a listener.
