I really enjoyed this unit. I was able to recollect my own experiences and how my teachers effectively used some of the strategies suggested in this unit (classroom design, student behaviour management). I believe I have a soft nature towards people (students), which may prove a problem with enforcing classroom behaviour. Here are some of the most important aspects I learnt from this unit: 1) Posture and body language are very important. 2) Establishing rapport with individuals 3) Being firm and confident when applicable 4) Understanding individuals may be affected by issues outside the classroom; and how to deal with these individuals
