Unit 2 was the first Grammar unit of the course and it discussed the Parts of Speech in detail. Each part was further looked into?its role within a sentence explained, its usage discussed, its categories enumerated and subcategorized. The written material complemented by the video tutorial helped me review the subject and study it from a teacher's point of view. I now think of ways to effectively teach this lesson to learners of different levels. I have learned that to correctly identify what part of speech a particular word is, the whole sentence needs to be examined. A word may be a verb in one sentence but be a noun in another.
