I learned that there are many parts of the speech when it comes to writing, reading, and speaking. The structure and rules seem confusing for new learners but once the sentence is broken down and explained step by step, both students and teachers will have a better understanding and be able to apply the same rules in their own sentences. I also believe it is important for teachers to understand how the students native language is structured because if a teachers can understand their student?s language and how it is structured, then it would be easier to explain the similarities and differences between English and their own language.
