Unit 20 started with giving an overview of aspects that the teacher can address in the first lessons of a new class. A new class, could be an existing class that is new to the teacher or a class of students who have not previously met. This unit covered a number of potential problem situations than can occur in teaching situations: how to draw the students' interest at the beginning of a lesson, how to deal with students who are different levels, students who use their mother tongue, reluctant students, problems with listening skills and large classes. For each one practical suggestions were given that could help to solve these problems.
