In unit four I learned more about materials and classroom management. Generally there are two types of materials, authentic and non-authentic. Authentic materials are those used by native speakers, and non-authentic materials are those created for someone studying the language. In terms of classroom management, there are three main ways to go about it. These are rigid teacher control, little to no teacher control and controlled active. All of these methods have there time and place, and it is good to not just use one method. The most important thing for classroom management is the demeanor of teacher, as the student react based upon that.
