Unit 7 provides an overview about teaching grammar, vocabulary and language functions. We read and learned some theoretical justifications for the selection and steps to follow when teaching any of those points. I found the models for ESA lessons particularly useful, since they show the flexibility we must always think about when teaching, but at the same time an orderly way of organizing and choosing activities or materials. In addition, knowing exactly what students need to know about any new grammar, function or vocabulary topic will help me as a teacher not only to choose wisely, but also to give students more meaningful information.
