From this unit, I got to know more about Business English teaching. Firstly, Needs analysis is very important and necessary to find what your target students need according to their learning and working experiences before. Also, it helps us to know more bout your students and develop our syllabus so that we can group them in teaching. If their level is not high enough to do the questionnaire, we can make it translated into their first language by the Human Resources department or training manager. The most important for both myself and my students is regular form of testing or assessment of learning takes place. It allows us to measure the efficacy of the program and allows students to monitor their progress. In China we have to know that some students take Business English courses for the business examination, such as Cambridge certificate in English for International Business and Trade and London chamber of Commerce and Industry Examinations. So we need to know some basic information about these examinations to share with some students in need. For example, some examinations are written and produced with native English speakers in mind.
